Saturday, August 1 offers an opportunity to step through the doors of our town’s historic places of worship. The Harpswell Garden Club is honored to be a part of the day by opening the doors of the Union Church at 553 Harpswell Neck Road. The garden club adopted this abandoned church in the 1950’s, restored it to its original beauty, and has cared for the 1841 building in the decades since. The church is open on August 1 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Please park at the Grange if no parking is available on the roadside in front of the church.
