A Visit to the Garden on a Fall Day
The days are growing shorter, leaves are falling to the ground, but still, the gardens provide us beauty. This afternoon, I visited the gardens at Centennial Hall. Dahlias, cleome and zinnias still bloom. Winterberry and holly display their bright red berries. In just a few short weeks, our garden club’s volunteers will be on the job, cutting back perennials, putting away stakes and peony hoops in preparation for the coming winter. Until then, enjoy the fair weather and the remaining days of color and blooms.
