8:30 am: Fun and Fabulous Fall Fest

Join our club for this annual event. Delicious baked treats and attic treasure galore are available for your shopping pleasure along with fresh floral bouquets, potted mums. A variety of local artisans will be there as well, selling their wares. Unless a hurricane looms over us, this event is held rain or shine at Centennial Hall, 936 Harpswell Neck Road on the grounds of Harpswell Historic Park gardens.

12:30 pm: What's the Buzz about Bees?

Maine's State Apiarist, Jennifer Lund, will talk about the types of bees in Harpswell, why some species are in decline, bee's nesting requirements and their foraging behaviors. She will also address what we can do to protect the bee populations in Maine. Our club will meet in the Morrell Meeting Room at the Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant Street, Brunswick at 12:30 p.m. for refreshments and conversation. The business meeting begins at 1:00 p.m. with the presentation to follow.
