The Fall Fest Returned to Harpswell!
September 10 was a lovely, sunny day, perfect for the return of our Fun and Fabulous Fall Fest. With the coronavirus still lurking, we were a bit hesitant to go full-throttle with our fall fest, so a slightly down-sized event was held. The bake sale again offered delicious treats, our “Attic Treasures” featured many collectibles and small items, and the mums and asters were marvelous, as always!
Community members who visited our event were happy to see its return. The asters and mums were a sell-out, the baked goods disappeared, and the Attic Treasures sold very well. In all, our garden club netted over $4000 in our annual fundraiser. These funds will help support the scholarships we distribute for nature camps and the donations we make to local organizations, as well as continue to provide funding for our stewardship of the Union Church and the gardens at Harpswell Historic Park Gardens. So thank you, all, for your support! It takes a community to keep our club successful.
