Members of the GCFM at the New England Garden Clubs’ Annual Meeting in Nashua, NH. Suzanne Bushnell, Tuckie Westfall, and Becky Gallery represented the HGC.

The Harpswell Garden Club was well represented at the Annual New England Garden Clubs Annual Meeting in Nashua, New Hampshire October 18 and 19.  Attending from our club were Tuckie Westfall (Club President), Becky Gallery (Immediate Past President and GCFM 2nd VP), and Suzanne Bushnell (Immediate Past NEGC Region Director).  The two day event featured a reception honoring the current Region Director (Suzanne McCance), a dinner followed by a fashion show, and the Annual Meeting followed by a speaker from Pleasant View Gardens in New Hampshire, one of the founding companies of the Proven Winners plant line.   Also on display were 27 photos considered finalists in the first-ever NEGC Photography Show.  More than 100 photos were entered and judged by professional photographers and judges from across New England.  We are pleased to say two of our members were finalists!  Suzanne Bushnell’s pink peony photo was a finalist as was Judy Stallworth’s pink dahlia close-up photo.  Congratulations to both of them!
