It’s Wedding Season in Harpswell
Our Harpswell Garden Club Wedding Committee has been busy this summer! To date, we’ve done two large weddings — the first one in June which included an array of beautiful arrangements and bouquets featuring multiple peonies in several pastel colors! Our club members were so generous to offer to let us cut in their gardens or to deliver flowers to our Wedding Committee Chairman Jackie Pellerin’s home. The June wedding was in Portland at Dimillo’s Restaurant. We were honored to be chosen by the bride’s family to create the floral display that graced this wedding. We had also done the bride’s brother’s wedding last summer!
Our July wedding actually had TWO ceremonies. One was a Hindu ceremony on Friday evening
and the traditional ceremony that most of us are familiar with was held the following day at Live Well Farm in Harpswell. The bride and groom wanted lots of color. So this time we were looking for shades of red, yellow, orange, peach along with anything else with vibrant color growing in July. You can see the result in the stunning array of arrangements and the bridal bouquet which featured the colorful shades she desired! Our Wedding Committee has one more wedding in August to close out another successful season of creating beautiful floral memories for our brides and grooms!
