What do cigarette butts, Dunkin Donut cups, dental floss picks and Twisted Tea cans all have in common?  These were the kind of items picked up by garden club members who helped out with the roadside clean-up in Harpswell on Earth Day, April 22nd!  On a cold, misty day it was heartening to see parents out with children and some of our members as well picking up trash along the major roadways in Harpswell.  After the clean-up, workers were invited to gather at the Grange to share in donated pizza from Ship to Shore General Store and cookies donated by The Vegie Corner.  Next year we’ll get the word out earlier and try to get many more members to participate.  But to those who came out on this cold, misty day, THANK YOU!!
