Holiday Season Begins!
This past Saturday evening, as a switch was turned, the crowd ooh’d and enjoyed the sight of Centennial Hall’s evergreen decked in lights. Nearly 3 dozen people were on hand for the annual celebration. With the tree lights on, carols were sung, then cocoa and cookies were enjoyed inside gaily garlanded Centennial Hall. Thanks go out to Susan Flagg and Sandy Norton for organizing the treats, to Helene and Bill Chase, Cindy and Alan Sawyer, Annette and Ken Dunn, and Pat and Becky Gallery for stringing lights and affixing garland, bows and wreaths. If you drive down Route 123, take a peak at Centennial Hall on your way by.
In other holiday happenings, the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens have a light show worth seeing. Make your reservation ahead of time (you will be given a time slot for your visit) and plan on spending an hour or so viewing the lights in the gardens.
