Suzanne Bushnell, Marcy McGuire, and Becky Gallery at Habitat for Humanity home dedication

Club members Suzanne Bushnell, Becky Gallery, Marcy McGuire, and Nancy Kinser were part of a very large crowd present on Saturday, April 23rd to help two families move into their new homes made possible by Habitat for Humanity Seven Rivers.  The homes on Hope Lane in Brunswick are special to the Harpswell Garden Club since members helped landscape one of them!

New homeowner Ben Leeman and his three children were honored to receive the keys to their new home along with several gifts that hold special significance to new owners of Habitat homes.  One of the gifts, a lovely red and white quilt, was made and donated by Harpswell Garden Club member Elly Cary.  Club members Marcy McGuire, Becky Gallery, Ken Dunn, and Suzanne Bushnell were part of a crew of Habitat volunteers who earlier this year had planted several shrubs and trees to provide some screening for the home from busy Harpswell Neck Road.
