Earlier this week, members of the Harpswell Garden Club joined forces with folks from Seven Rivers Maine Habitat for Humanity to help add landscaping plants to a new building project in Brunswick. The new residence, located on Hope Lane, is one of four homes planned by the local Habitat for Humanity team. Our garden club, represented by Marcy McGuire, Ken Dunn, Suzanne Bushnell and Becky Gallery, assisted the homeowner and several volunteers from Habitat, including Rudi Smith, Caralen MacKenzie-Hicks and Marcy McGuire.  Numerous businesses, organizations and individuals have helped to make this project possible, from site clearing to construction to the planting. It truly is a community project.
